Assessment at The C Practice is offered through flexible, individualised pathways tailored to the needs of each child or young person.
Not every child requires a comprehensive occupational therapy assessment. Assessment should be proportionate to the questions being explored and focused on understanding the areas of participation, development, and everyday life that matter most to the child and family.
All assessment pathways begin with an Online Assessment Pathway Consultation.
This consultation provides space to explore current concerns, participation in everyday life, strengths, developmental history, environments, and support needs. Together, we will consider the questions you would like answered through assessment and identify the most appropriate pathway moving forward.
Designed to explore one or two key areas of participation or development.
This pathway begins with an Online Assessment Pathway Consultation and may include:

The specific assessment activities included will be guided by the questions being explored and the information gathered throughout the assessment process.
Following the Online Assessment Pathway Consultation, a recommendation will be made regarding the most appropriate assessment pathway.
Families will then be provided with information about the recommended assessment pathway, including costs, and can choose whether to proceed with assessment.
In some circumstances, information gathered during a Focused Assessment Pathway may indicate that a broader assessment would be beneficial. Where this occurs, recommendations and costs will be discussed with families before any further assessment is undertaken.
If you would like to begin the assessment process, please contact me to arrange an Online Assessment Pathway Consultation.
